I can’t believe Infinetix has been in business for 20 years. It seems like just yesterday that Leon and I founded the company, saying “If it doesn’t work out, we can get real jobs!”

During the last 20 years, Infinetix has provided hardware and software design help to more than 100 different companies while growing from the two founders to 20 employees in the process. At this point, it is safe to say we have real jobs. Our technical skills have expanded a lot as our staff has grown and gained experience over the years.

One of the biggest areas of change and growth for us has been in the embedded firmware area. Technology products are much more a product of good firmware design now than ever. Historically, software/firmware was between 40% to 50% of a project. Now, the software/firmware component is around 75%, and many products, like applications for iOS or Android, are entirely software. The growth of our staff has followed this trend. As we’ve added more expertise and employees over the years, most of the expansion has increased our abilities to take on firmware and software products.

What will the next 20 years bring? One thing we can all count on is that there will be even more and faster changes. Technology continues to move at an ever-increasing pace and Infinetix keeps trying to keep pace in the design areas we focus on.
